FILM MADE OF POLYESTER DERIVED FROM BIOMASS RESOURCE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film made of a polyester derived from biomass resources, greatly contributing to solution of environmental problems, depletion problems etc., of fossil fuel resources and having practical physical properties. SOLUTION: The film made of the polyester derived from the biomass resources is characterized as follows: at least one of a dicarboxylic acid and a diol which are raw materials for the polyester is obtained from the biomass resources and the amount of terminal carboxy groups in the polyester is≤50 equivalents/ton in the film prepared from the polyester in which main repeating units are a dicarboxylic acid unit and a diol unit.
