A reciprocating compressor of the present invention includes: a piston which forms a compressed space while performing a reciprocating motion by being inserted into a cylinder, and has an intake hole guiding a coolant to be compressed toward the compressed space at a front cross section; and an intake valve having a fixed part fastened to the front cross section of the piston, an opening and closing part opening and closing the intake hole at a side of the fixed part, and a support part which is in parallel with the front cross section of the piston, and supports the opening and closing part at an opposite side of the opening and closing part by referring to a first virtual line passing the fixed part. A pressurizing hole is formed at the front cross section of the piston opposite to the support part, wherein the pressurizing hole guides the coolant to be compressed toward the compressed space and is opened and closed by the support part. By the same, back flow can be prevented since the intake valve is closed rapidly at a bottom dead center of the piston. |
