<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calibrate the time of an electronic instrument at low cost and in easy manner. <P>SOLUTION: The time calibration system comprises a time measuring section 13 for storing arbitrary time information and measuring the time, by updating the time information on the basis of a clock signal with a constant period and data communication section 11 which is connected to an arbitrary external device for exchanging the arbitrary time information therewith. At initial setting, initial time information 5 received from a PC 3, which is the time management device connected via the data communication section, is set at the time measuring section 13 by a time information management section 12.
