PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection quantity adjustment method and an injection quantity adjustment device for a fuel injection valve of easy adjustment work with simple facilities and short adjustment time. SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve 10 operates by current supplied to a coil 26 from a drive circuit 52 under an environment not using test liquid. A photo sensor 48 detects time until light irradiated to a movable core 18 or a valve member 12 is reflected and received, and converts the same to distance by a control circuit and outputs as electric signal. PC 50 controls drive current for driving a motor 40 based on lift of a valve member 12 defined from electrical signal output by the photo sensor 48. A feeding screw 46 rotates together with the motor 40 and pushes an adjusting pipe 2 in to adjust load of a spring 24. Injection quantity can be adjusted by adjusting spring load to adjust valve open time and valve close time under the environment not using test liquid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
