PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic apparatus for electric motor capable of diagnosing for abnormality of an electric motor by performing statistical processing on an input sampling voltage and a load torque calculated from current information for an electric motor in which the load fluctuates.SOLUTION: A diagnostic apparatus includes a logical calculation unit 20 that calculates a load torque using a sampling voltage which is input from a voltage input section 11 and a sampling current which is input from a current input section 12. The diagnostic apparatus generates a histogram of the load torque of a number of samplings obtained and compares the same to a histogram for normal operation which is prestored in a storage section 30 to determine whether abnormality is present in an electric motor 7 or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
