PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a pitch between piles by providing an enlarged-diameter pile. SOLUTION: In this device for building an enlarged-diameter pile in a ground, a tubular casing is driven into a ground to a predetermined depth. The casing is extracted a specified amount, powder is released into the ground through the casing, and the powder released by re-driving the casing body is compacted. The steps above are repeated in order. A ring-like outer compaction surface part is provided to the lower end peripheral edge of the casing. An inner compaction surface part is disposed on the inside of the outer compaction surface part. The inner compaction surface part can change the inside of the outer compaction surface part between the closed state and the open state. The outer compaction surface part and the inner compaction surface part are rotated in the directions opposite to each other about a same rotating axis extending in the direction in which the casing extends, thereby compacting a granular body.
