PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for insert molding, which can decrease anisotropy with respect to a resin flow direction of a molded article and gives a high reinforcing effect.SOLUTION: The resin composition for insert molding of the present invention comprises a thermoplastic resin, a filler, and a pigment selected from a white pigment and a black pigment. In the filler, a planar filler is blended, which has an average thickness of 0.5 μm or more and 10 μm or less and an average particle diameter of 10 μm or more and 200 μm or less.
