摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for measuring an amount of a nuclear substance in a broken/molten fuel-containing substance, capable of measuring the amount of the nuclear substance by the use of an X-ray CT apparatus for fuel debris.SOLUTION: The device comprises: a first measurement unit that irradiates a fuel debris storage container containing fuel debris with an X-ray while rotary scanning the fuel debris storage container so as to detect the X-ray penetrating the fuel debris storage container, thereby obtaining information on the density of the fuel debris; a second measurement unit that measures a radiation from the fuel debris storage container; and a processing unit that corrects the radiation measured by the second measurement unit on the basis of the density of the fuel debris measured by the first measurement unit, to determine the amount of the nuclear substance in the fuel debris from the corrected radiation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
