A biometric authentication platform system is provided with: a management unit for managing original record correspondence information corresponding to an original record of biometric information used when biometric authentication of a user is performed by a plurality of services; an authentication unit for executing authentication processing on the basis of biometric information for a user received from the plurality of services and the original record correspondence information managed by the management unit; and a registration unit for registering the original record correspondence information managed by the management unit on the basis of the biometric information for a user received from any of the plurality of services. The registration unit uses the received biometric information for the user and the original record correspondence information managed by the management unit as a basis to prevent double registration of the same biometric information for the same user as the original record correspondence information.
