<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle in which a battery mounted to the vehicle can be charged from a power supply outside the vehicle, system is started simply during charging, in consideration of existing security countermeasures. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting connection between an external power supply outside a vehicle and a charging plug (step S10), a controller invalidates key collation that authenticates a key of a user when a shift lever is at a parking position and a parking brake is turned ON (step S40). By this, system start conditions are established.
