PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a driving part of M light sources when the positional shift of pixel density or more with respect to a vertical scanning direction is corrected by lighting and scanning M ((N-1)≥M≥1) light sources of N (N≥2) light sources which scan different positions in a vertical scanning direction in a pixel formed on a medium to be scanned.

SOLUTION: A light source driving and control means 50 drives and controls M light sources by giving the same pixel data to the M light sources to be used for lighting and scanning in respective virtual light source lines when L pixels are formed by lining up L (L≥2) virtual light source lines each of which forms one pixel in the vertical scanning direction by lighting and scanning M ((N-1)≥M≥1) light sources of N (N≥2) light sources which can scan different positions in the vertical scanning direction.
