PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously casting a high carbon steel, in which the inner cracking can be prevented. SOLUTION: A roll inclination in the secondary cooling zone is set to 0 [mm/m] or more, and the roll inclination in the heat-recuperating zone is set to -0.8 to -0.4 [mm/m] at the front-half part and 0 to 0.5 [mm/m] at the rear-half part as the boundary of roll pair maximized in the roll gap. A meniscus distance at the end point of the secondary cooling zone is set to 8 to 20 [m] and the maximum value of the roll gap in the heat-recuperating zone is set to be wider by 0.5 to 5.0 [mm] than the roll gap at the end point of the secondary cooling zone. The casting velocity Vc[m/min] is set to 0.50 to 0.65 and the ratio of water amount Wt[L/kg<SB>Steel</SB>] is set to 0.25 to 1.0.
