PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a seam welded pipe having excellent welded characteristic, which apparatus can appropriately form the shape of an end edge portion in the direction of the width just before the seam welding, and as a result, can sufficiently discharge molten metal in the seam welding, and can surely remove penetrators. SOLUTION: A roll forming machine 4 comprises a fin pass forming stand 3 having a fin having a tapered shape of at least two steps therein.
