<p>The novel title cpds. are of formula:- (in which R is alkyl, lower monohaloalkyl, alkenyl, monohaloalkenyl, cycloalkyl, monohalocycloalkyl, phenyl, aralkyl, alkaryl or monohalophenyl; Q is -SO- or -SO2- each X is Cl, Br or F, Z is -CN, CONH2, -COOH or salts of COOH, n is 0-3, m is 1-3, p is 1 or 2, and n+m+p is 2-5). The cpds. have insecticidal, bactericidal and fungicidal properties, and may be used to protect ink, paints, paper, textiles, polymers etc. from attack by microorganisms. They are prepd. by oxidn. of the corresp. cpds. in which Q is S.</p> |
