<p>Twisting vane brake suitable for a horizontally journalled double wire twisting spindle and with adjustable braking force indicated on a dial is formed by a permanent magnet embedded in a plastics ring which is axially slidably disposed in the twisting ring for variation of an air gap formed between the plastics ring and a ferromagnetic ring located opposite the plastics ring in the twisting spindle, the rings being rotatable w.r.t. each other.</p> |
