<p>1352180 Container closures A OBRIST 19 April 1971 [2 March 1970] 22834/71 Heading B8T A tamperproof plastics closure for a plastics container comprises a bottom portion 7, and a U-shaped member 9 adapted to engage the wall 4 of the container. The closure is snapped on to the top of the wall 4, a projection 18 fitting over a shoulder on the wall 4 and a concave portion 11 engaging the inside of the wall for sealing purposes. The outer skirt 14 of the closure has a notch 12 defining a weakened section 16 and a tear-strip 13 provided with a tab 15. To open the container, the tab 15 is pulled to remove the tear-strip 13 whereupon the closure can be removed by lifting tabs 21, which extend across opposite sides of the top of the closure, and exerting a levering action.</p> |
