Flexible tube with spiral reinforcements - has cavities between shaped sections of spirals filled with an elastomer

A flexible tubular element is reinforced by spirals, at opposite angles of max. 40 degrees to the longitudinal axis, of shaped sections. These sections are so arranged that each turn forms an almost closed cavity with the next. These cavities are filled with an elastomer which ensures the tight seal between each shaped section of the outer reinforcement.
