The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for preparing a fire-resistant and water-resistant water-glass foam using a water-glass mixture, which is safe in case of fire and does not dissolve in water. The fire-resistant and water-resistant foam is prepared by using microwaves to expand a water-glass mixture having a sodium oxide content of no more than 15.7 mol%, wherein the water-glass mixture is prepared by mixing 50-100 parts by weight of sodium silicate; 1-30 parts by weight of silicon dioxide; 1-30 parts by weight of one or two or more types of metal oxides or metal hydroxides, such as magnesium hydroxide, magnesium oxide, aluminum hydroxide, aluminum oxide, and zinc oxide; 1-30 parts by weight of one or two or more types of metal phosphate compounds such as aluminum phosphate, zinc phosphate, and magnesium phosphate, and carboxylic acid metal compounds such as zinc maleate, magnesium maleate, zinc phthalate, and magnesium phthalate; 1-5 parts by weight of calcium oxide; and 1-5 parts by weight of one or two or more types of reinforcing materials such as glass chopped strands, pulp, or carbon fiber chopped strands. |
