PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic travel control device and an automatic travel control unit which can notify a user of the state of automatic travel.SOLUTION: An automatic travel control device 3 comprises: an automatic travel control unit 9 which performs automatic travel of an own vehicle on a road to a destination; a function determination unit 11 which determines whether a function used for the automatic travel is normal or not; a first notification unit 13 which notifies about the state of the function; an abnormality detection unit 15 which detects an abnormality in notification of the state of the function; and a second notification unit 17 which performs a specific notification in the case that the abnormality is detected by the abnormality detection unit and the function determination unit determines that the function is normal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
