Paper bags or sacks are manufactured by applying adhesive along one long edge of each layer of paper in a filament, then folding the layer into a flat tube. The adhesive, to form the inner side of the tube, is applied at 90 deg. to the length of the tube and at least partially uninterruptedly to the paper length and, when there are more than one layer, also between the layers. A bag or sack is obtained with a floor adhered together on the inside, when the tube is pressed flat. The floor can be formed at the full speed of bag-making. |
