The protective tube has a lateral bore for a blind rivet and a filling aperture. The closure plate has a middle bore. The inner thread at the other end of the tube receives a threaded union with a bore for the connecting cable and an elastic sealing disc. This threaded union is designed for accepting an intermediate threaded piece, also with a bore for the connecting cable and a lateral recess for a tension relief clip. Inside the tube is mounted a precision bimetal thermostat cartridge whose terminals are connected to the cable wires, brought through the threaded union assembly. The cartridge front side abuts the rear side of the closure plate over an intermediate cast resin layer. The blind rivet forms a metal connection to the eyelet of the cable neutral conductor. Cast resin is filled through the aperture to complete the assembly.
