The optical cavity system contains the active laser medium, transmitting light beams in opposite direction. The light beams propagate in the optical cavity along a closed circulation path. The optical cavity incorporates a light reflecting frequency biassing element, imparting a phase shift to the oppositely propagated light beams. The reflecting element consists of several layers, including a magnetisable layer coated with a dielectric film. The layer thickness is determned in dependence to the refractive index of the electric film, the wavelength and the impact angle of the light beams on the reflecting element. Thus the differential reflection of the light beams, propagating in opposite owing to is removed, which would otherwise appear owing to the magnetisable layer. On the other hand, the non-reciprocal phase shift, caused by the layer, is retained.
|
