Abrasive plastic film for grinding etching needles - by filling grooved film surface with abrasive, and pressing to level surface and fix abrasive

Abrasive plastic film with a regularly distributed abrasive esp. a diamond powder, at its surface for grinding etching needles and readers of information supports is produced by (a) providing the surface of the plastic films with regularly distributed grooves for receiving the abrasive, (b) filling the grooves with the abrasive and (c) effecting thermoplastic deformation by pressing in order to level the surface, and fix the abrasive in the external layer.
