<p>The lubricating system is for sheet metal strips of a predetermined length, being fed to a drawing press. The system is located between a supply unit for the metal, and the press. Lubricant carries are in constant connection with both surfaces of the sheet metal strips, and are moved to-and fro in the supply direction of the strips. the lubricant carriers may be stationary, and each may have a recess, in which an advance element of the supply unit is moved pass them. Auxiliary lubricant carriers are in contact with the sheet metal strips in front of or behind the recesses, overlapping them on the sides, and moving to and fro. The lubricant carriers and auxiliaries consist of pads or rollers, and carry an internal proportioning lubricant supply.</p> |
