<p>1405234 Suction dredgers BALLAST-NEDAM GROEP NV 29 Jan 1973 [28 Jan 1972] 4344/73 Heading E1F Adjacent rigid, tubular sections 6 of the suction pipe of a dredger are pivotally connected together by a universal joint structure disposed between the two, side by side disposed, flexible, elastic bellows 15 establishing communication between the forked ends of the tubular sections 6. Four joint structures are described in detail. In the structure shown the pivotal axes of the joint intersect at right angles. In a second structures the axes pass each other at right angles. The universal joint of a third structure involves a ball and socket joint, whilst in a fourth structure at least one of the hinge parts of the universal joint is journalled so as to be rotatable about the longitudinal axis of an associated pipe section.</p> |
