Grain sizer for suspended solid grinding media - has ultra-sonic absorptions of suspensions measured and size recorded

For determination and regulation of the gain size distribution of solid grinding media suspended in lapping fluids during a mechanical lapping process, the ultra-sonic absorptions of the suspensions are measured. Their size is recorded with respect to the operating hour count and according to the absolute valve and/or the rise of the curve the delivery and the replacement of the lapping medium and/or the lapping fluid are regulated. The ultrasonic absorption of the suspension is measured in the flow. The delivery and/or replaced of the lapping medium is regulated according to an automatic evaluation of the recorded curve.
