Lectin/complexed lectin mixt. - for treatment of cancer in humans, complex being formed with hydrolysed normal cells

摘要

Mixt. of natural lectins (obtd. e.g. from wheat germ) with no red blodd cell agglutinating effect are useful in treating cancer in humans. Pref. the mixt. comprises 90 pts. complexed lectin and 10 pts. natural lectin. The complex is formed with receptor sites on normal cells; natural lectins encourage the growth of normal cells but stop the growth of tumour cells. The complexed lectins still stop the growth of tumour cells but do not effect normal cells. The receptor sites for complex formation are obtd. by hydrolysis of normal cells, either with trypsin or RNS-ase.
