In order to comply with certain country regulations stating that the hand brake level must be maintained at such a distance from the handle bar grip to suit users hands, the lever is provided with an adjuster screw (20) whose free end (21) rests against the hand lever pivot block (12). Tightening the screw brings the hand lever closer to the handle bar grip (16). The screw head is accessible via a bore (22) in the hand lever. The stop screw can instead bear against a bolt at its far end, made of harder metal to preserve the softer lever casting.
