The driving mechanism is contained in a housing (3) which is provided with holes (5) for securing the housing via screws. The assembly also contains a plastic lid (20) fitted with side extensions (22) with serrated surface plugs suitable for driving them into a hole drilled into the door leaf. By this combination the driving mechanism can either be fitted by screws in which case the lid serves only as a cover, or the lid by being driven into the holes on the door leaf serves as a hold-down fixing for the driving mechanism as well. A two-part break-open hook type plastic band assembly with a hinge action secures the lock bolt.
