Castor wheel with central fixing position - has recess in positioning plate to accommodate back of wheel fork

The design is particularly intended for invalids beds used in hospitals. The design is an improvement to the main patent in that the central fixing of the castor is improved and construction simplified. The castor has a positioning plate projecting into a cavity in the roller fork and a multi sided fixing bolt. The positioning plate (16) has a peripheral recess in which the back of the roller fork locates. There is a brake (14) on the fork and pivoting mechanism (35) with support spring (36). There is a setting screw (37) for the brake. The brake is made from plastic such as polyamide. The setting screw (37) is also plastic fitting in a metal nut (38).
