<p>A terminal clamp for accumulators used in road vehicles, and an arrangement to assist in slackening and in tightening the terminal clamp when this is required. The terminal clamping screw (15) is provided with a collar which is solidly fixed to the screw shank. It is located so that it lies on the opposite side of the lug (4) to the screw head (13). The other lug (3) is threaded, or contains a captive nut (17). By turning the screw in the appropriate direction the clamp may be either tightened round the accumulator terminal post (7), or slackened to assist in its removal.</p> |
