PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variation in tension of the cable in a slide device for a vehicle seat capable of moving along a slide rail on a floor by winding up a cable wired between an occupant seat and a vehicle floor around a pulley, by applying tension to a cable using another means, without making a cable wiring work more difficult.SOLUTION: A slide device for a vehicle seat comprises tension applying means disposed on a wiring path of a cable 60 and used for applying a predetermined tension to the cable 60. The tension applying means comprises: sheaves 71, 72, which contact the cable 60 on their outer peripheral surfaces, have respective rotation axes on a seat, movable in a direction of a change in length of the wiring path of cable 60; and a coil spring 73 for energizing the rotation axes of the sheaves 71, 72 in a direction to increase the length of the wiring path of cable 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
