Armoured mortice lock for doors - has armoured side plate and thickened locking bolt preventing unauthorised opening

The mortice lock has spring loaded catch in the lock housing. It also has a key actuated locking bolt. This door lock is armour protected at least on one side so that it cannot be drilled through from outside. The armouring can consist of hardened steel or of a suitable carbide, or from zircon oxide. The lock housing (2) is covered with armouring pref. on the outside face. The catch or the lock bolt (52) has arresting tumblers (22) and it can also be locked against longitudinal movement when the door is closed. The lock bolt is thickened to protect it against unauthorised opening.
