Said compound may be chloramine-T, dichloramine-T, p-sulphone-dichloramidobenzoic acid, N:N-dichlorazodicarbonamidine, dichloroisocyanuric acid, trichlorisocyanuric acid, 1: 3-dichloro-5:5-dimethyl hydantoin, 1:3-dibromo-5:5-dimethyl hydantoin, N-bromo-acetamide, N-bromosuccinimide or tetraglycine hydroperiodide; the surface may be that of a ship, said solid material may be paraffin wax; the composition is applied molten or in solvent, and two layers may be applied, the first containing more halogen compound than the second.</p> |
