FIELD: electronics.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies of processing electronic documents. Disclosed is a method for classification of document images. Method includes a step of obtaining a document image using a processing device. Further, according to method, a colour map of image is displayed. Also, method comprises extraction of one or more colour layers from presentation of colour map of image.
