<p>The dental tool used during examination of the mouth, is used to measure the slope of the teeth, so that an artificial tooth on a denture will match the angle. The tool has a handle (1) with a stem (2) which has the angle measuring member (5) near the tip. This member has a rod (4) projection downwards for resting against the side of the tooth, and an indicator (5) at the top, operating in the manner of a spirit level. The indicator is mounted on a pedestal (3) inset into the stem. In an alternative design, the indicator is mounted on a dovetail piece which can slide along a groove along the stem, for adjustment.</p> |
