For such a transistor invertor, whose invertor transformer contains secondary windings for the heating, operating and auxiliary starting AC voltage, the invention is that the invertor (1) is provided with solid-state switching means via which the operating AC voltage is emitted time-delayed with respect to the heating AC voltage after every time that the supply DC voltage (input 3, 4) is switched on. For the operating AC voltage, the secondary winding (14) is connected on the one hand directly and on the other hand indirectly, via a series-connected triac (15), to the outputs (6, 7) for the lamp connection, and the triac (15) can be controlled by the charge state of a starting capacitor (18) which is connected to the secondary winding (14). In a modification, the heating AC voltage is additionally reduced when the operating AC voltage is emitted. The circuit allows the life of the fluorescent lamp to be considerably increased. <IMAGE> |
