1518288 Polyamide film; laminates BASF AG 17 Oct 1975 [25 Oct 1974 (2)] 42650/75 Headings B5B and B5M A film web comprises a layer of an #-caprolactam polymer, containing more than 70% by weight of #-caprolactam, the polymer having a relative viscosity of from 2À4 to 3À3, containing 0À0005 to 0À5% by weight of uniformly distributed crystalline magnesium silicate of particle size less than 30 Á, the web being less than 50 Á thick. The web is formed by melt extrusion through a slit die on to a chill roller and drawing the melt off the roller at a speed greater than 30 m/min. The film may be laminated with a polyolefine, e.g. polyethylene using tandem lines. |
