Cellular material drying process - has temp. control for inner walls of system

To dry finely-ground cellular material with a hot gas, such as air or flue gas or steam or gas mixts, the inner walls of the system where the wet material is in contact are held at a temp. equal to or higher than that of the material being dried. The process prevents fibre material from building up on the walls so that material flow is not blocked, and the wall temp. effect is not diminished. Heat is fed from an external source to the system walls to keep them at the required temp. The hot gas for drying the material is passed wholly or partially through the fibre loosening equipment so that the passage of the material and the heat transfer during the setting phase is eased.
