The valve system is intended for a hot water heating radiator. It is situated in the uppermost water passage in the radiator body, and its valve plug is formed by a reduced-diameter unthreaded portion of a threaded bolt. An outlet passage is to the valve housing at right angles to the bolt and near its threaded portion. A nipple (3) is inserted in the outlet passage (5), having a groove (9) in its outer wall outside the valve housing (2). This is covered by a drain pipe (4) extending downwards and nearly to the valve housing, so as to form an air inlet passage. The groove can run parallel to the nipple axis for its entire free length.
