<p>Yarn feed device for a circular knitting machine producing e.g. tights has bobbin-support spindles positioned above the machine around the central zone. The spindles are directed downwards, at an angle inclined from the horizontal, towards yarn guides in the central zone. Device provides a support on one level, with no need for use of step-ladders. Wide packages can be incorporated, and the angle of inclination avoids the sloughing off of yarn loops. A direct feed path offers tension conditions which do not prove excessive.</p> |
