Spring comb like contact arrangement for high security connection of the electrode plate in a foil capacitor to the outer terminal wire. Sweating and soldering methods are also used to ensure good contact. A metal strip (10) with several sprung fingers (5,6) is sweated to the metal foil (2) which is the plate of a tubular capacitor. The foil (2) is backed by synthetic material (1) such as a dielectric foil. The fingers (5,6) extend beyond the thickness of the metal (2) foil and synthetic backing (1) so that they can be bent over when the capacitor is in its final tubular form, and connected, soldered, to the lead out terminal (23,24).
