PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dummy liner which can relax dimensional accuracy.SOLUTION: A dummy liner 20 is cast, prior to casting of a cylinder block 1, instead of a cylinder liner 2 until a temperature of a mold 10 increases. The dummy liner includes a projection part 23, which projects from an inner circumference surface 22 of a cylinder part 21, in which a bore pin 14 is inserted, to a radial inner side, and is in contact with an outer circumference surface 15 of the bore pin 14. A radial clearance 24 is formed between the inner circumference surface 22 of the cylinder part 21 and the outer circumference surface 15 of the bore pin 14 except for the projection part 23. Molten metal, which fills the radial clearance 24, does not adhere to the bore pin 14, and thus high dimensional accuracy, which prevents generation of a clearance between the bore pin 14 and the dummy liner 20, can be eliminated. Therefore, dimensional accuracy of the dummy liner 20 can be relaxed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
