<p>The support ring is intended for retaining an object in its packing container, particularly where this may be subjected to very wide temperature fluctuation. It consists of at least two part- circular plastic ring portions (6,7) which are held together by spring elements (10,21,19,17,14,18,20,22,11). These elements are in a material which is only subject to elastic deformation, such as spring steel, and each have at least two portions (14,19,20) which can deflect under load in circumferential direction of the ring. These portions are pref. curved, whilst one (14) is hooked into a recess (15,16) in one (e.g.7) of the ring portions. The free ends (10,11) may engage openings (12,13) in the other ring portion (e.g. 6).</p> |
