PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open/close detecting device for reliable detection of opening/closing which promotes reduction in size and weight of a foldable portable device, and to provide a flexible wiring board using the same. SOLUTION: The foldable portable device comprises a hinge 3 which collapsibly couples a lower side unit 1 and an upper side unit 2, and is provided with a flexible wiring board 4 for electrical connection between units. The flexible wiring board 4 is provided with a conductor wiring 42 for detecting open/close of a unit. By detecting changes in the resistance value of the conductor wire for detection, opening/closing of the unit and the disconnection of the flexible wiring board is detected.
