In order to hold constant the level of cast resin (3) in a multiple casting head, the volume is measured in a contactless fashion. For this purpose, a test pressure (pp) is applied to the storage chamber (2) after the casting process, and the storage chamber is then connected to an overflow vessel (13). A measuring pressure (pM), which is a measure of the state of filling of the storage chamber (2) is set up in the overflow vessel (13).
