The connection between the travelling appliance, e.g. a crane, and the bus-bar is by a soring member (311) and sliding shoe (312). The spring tension is chosen such that good electrical contact is maintained between shoe and bus-bar. The tension rod (311) end (316), at the appliance side is mounted on a tubular support (41). It is fastened by means of a ring clamp (318) and tightened with screws. The method of fastening allows easy adjustment of lateral position to correctly align the collector shoe (312) with the corresp. bus-bar (111). It similarly enables tension adjustment. Several collector assemblies can be mounted side by side on the same support where multiole bus-bar systems are employed.
