An electronic cash register with two registration stations (10 and 60) is operated by two salespersons in times where there is a great rush of customers but only by one salesperson in quiet periods. In the two-person operation, the first salesperson carries out normal registration processes and the second salesperson carries out entry and cash calculation processes at the second station (60). Switching from single-person to two-person operation occurs automatically when a previously entered time information corresponds to the continuous time information determined by a timer stage (48). |
