PURPOSE:To provide a thermal head improved in the quality of printing with a flat top surface of a heat generating resistor by providing a concave eliminating layer with proper thickness between an insulating substrate and the heat generating resistor to eliminate a concave at the center of the resistor. CONSTITUTION:A belt-shaped preheating resistor 30 is formed as concave eliminating layer with a proper thickness so as to cover one end of preheating terminals 20A and 20B. Electrode conductors 2A and 2B and 2C and 2D are partially covered at both ends of heat generating resistors 3A and 3B while the preheating resistor 30 with a proper thickness exists on the centerl undersurface thereof. The top surface of the heat generating resistors 3A and 3B are so made flat and convex to secure an ample contact with a heat sensitive recording paper. |
