<p>The switch is set in a base with a rectangular opening (3). It is situated in the line of the cable (11) which has entry and exit openings at each side of the base. The moulded switch body (6) protrudes through a plastics cover (7) and has two stable positions. V-shaped strip springs (9), which have rounded bosses at their apices provided the switch restoring force. Two grooved haunches moulded into the base have raised central sections (10) which are shaped such that the boss of the V-spring has a stable rest position in either of two gullies on either side. When the raised portion of the rocker switch is depressed, the V-spring apex jumps from one gully to the other via snap action. The switch is partic. intended for free-standing lamps.</p> |
